NARRATIVE
Shot on a Canon C100 with Rokinon Prime Lenses over the course of six months in Alma, MI, FUN BOX is an exploration of addiction and its effects on the student psyche. Inspired by Requiem for a Dream and speculative fiction, this film invents an object of abuse and lets malleable minds use it as they will.

Official selection at Fort Worth Indie Film Showcase 2017 & Made-in-Michigan Film Festival 2017.
Begun as an exercise in rhetoric camera movements, this project for the Camera Media course at Alma College turned into a loosely plotted narrative on the fly. Shot one pushes in before the man pulls away to evoke closure, shot two arcs to reveal the man’s murderer in the back seat, and shot three features the murderer crossing into a new world in the push and pan as he turns himself in. Shot on a Canon C100, Canon 16-35mm at f/5.6.
Inspired by the speculative fiction of Margaret Atwood and Ray Bradbury for the Post Worlds in Post Production course at Alma College, Zero investigates a future wherein hate speech is inhumanely criminalized. Shot on a Canon C100 with a Canon 16-35mm at f/4; digital newsroom created/green screen keyed in Adobe After Effects.
Shot on a Canon C100 with a Sigma 35mm at f/1.4, Search is an experiment in aperture and focus, wherein blown-out backgrounds and precise focus pulling were the goal. Search is also an experiment in Sound Design as all of the sound effects of the film were created from scratch in a single post-production foley session.
